5th August (CRICKETNMORE) - Australia skittled for 106 in reply to Sri Lanka’s first innings of 281 in the second test at Galle. Rangana Herath becomes the second Sri Lankan to claim a hat-trick on chaotic morning in Galle.

The veteran left-armer took the wickets of Adam Voges, Peter Nevill and Mitchell Starc as Australia slumped from 80-4 to 80-7 in reply to Sri Lanka’s 281. At the age of 38, Herath is the oldest player in history to take a Test hat-trick.

It is the 42nd instance of a hat-trick in Tests and the first since Stuart Broad against Sri Lanka in June 2014.
